Keila is an introverted librarian of the Great Library of Alyssium. A revolution against the emperor is happening and the library is on fire. Luckily Keila has been preparing just in case this happened. She has a boat and crates of books. Her and her familiar Caz, a magical spider plant escape. They return to her childhood home and magic happens. 


I adored this book. I thought I had this as an arc but it turns out it's a different book. but I'm so glad I picked this up to listen too. it was so much fun. I loved the cozy fantasy. I guess it's considered cottage core and now I'm wondering what else I can read that's like it. I'm excited to read book two that comes out in July. I preordered a copy because I loved this one so much. yep, obsessed. I wish I could live in this fantasy world and do spells with the Keila. My favorite character is Caz. 🪴💚💚 I love books that feel like a magical escape.

I loved the magical town and the townsfolk. I'm hoping this is a new series and we get to know the rest of the Trouble Trio. It was the perfect amount of spicy, romance and magic.
